Disclosures

What SYNC is, what it is not, and the limits of every claim made on this site — stated plainly, in one place.

Effective

1. SYNC is a technology provider, not a bank

SYNC builds software. It is not a bank, and it is not a licensed broker-dealer, investment adviser, or money transmitter.

Deposit accounts, cards, money transmission, fiat-to-digital-asset conversion, custody, lending, and yield — where offered at all — are provided by regulated third parties under their own agreements, disclosures, and supervision. Those relationships may be custodial or fiduciary in nature, and are separate from SYNC.

2. No offer of securities; no advice

Nothing on this site is an offer to sell, or a solicitation of an offer to buy, any security, token, or financial instrument, in any jurisdiction. Nothing here is legal, banking, tax, accounting, investment, or financial advice.

No content on this site should be relied on in making an investment decision. Speak to a licensed professional about your own circumstances.

3. What "non-custodial" does and does not mean

"Non-custodial" is a statement about cryptographic private keys. It means keys are generated and retained on the user's device and SYNC does not hold them.

It is not a blanket security or regulatory claim. SYNC may avoid custody of private keys while still operating ledgers, sponsoring network fees, processing personal data, and integrating custodial fiat or conversion providers. Each of those responsibilities carries its own control owner and its own legal classification.

Because keys are held on the device, loss of the device together with loss of recovery material may result in permanent, unrecoverable loss of assets. Encrypted recovery workflows reduce but do not eliminate that risk.

4. Digital asset risk

  • Digital assets are volatile. Their value can fall substantially, including to zero.
  • Blockchain transactions are generally final and irreversible. A payment sent to the wrong destination may not be recoverable.
  • Stablecoins depend on their issuer, reserve structure, and redemption mechanics, and may lose their peg.
  • Network conditions, congestion, forks, and third-party infrastructure outages can delay or prevent settlement.
  • Digital assets are not deposits, are not insured by the FDIC or SIPC, and are not guaranteed by any government.
  • Tax treatment varies by jurisdiction and by transaction, and is your responsibility.

5. Deposit insurance

FDIC insurance, where available, applies only to eligible fiat deposits held at an insured depository institution, and is subject to programme structure, recordkeeping, ownership category, and applicable limits. It does not insure crypto assets, and it does not protect against investment loss.

Pass-through deposit insurance depends on conditions being satisfied, including accurate recordkeeping by the programme. It does not protect against the failure of SYNC or of any non-bank intermediary. Where a specific insurance arrangement applies to a product you use, it will be disclosed in that product's own terms.

6. References to financial institutions and providers

No financial institution named in any SYNC material has approved, endorsed, sponsored, or entered into a partnership with SYNC unless SYNC states so expressly and in writing on this site.

Institutions identified in SYNC research materials constitute a diligence pipeline, not confirmed partners. Capability, programme appetite, pricing, charter status, insurance structure, digital-asset policy, and implementation timelines require verification through current diligence and executed written agreements.

For this reason, this website deliberately does not name prospective sponsor banks or providers. Institution profiles, fees, asset sizes, and capabilities described in source documents are time-sensitive and must be independently confirmed before any external reliance.

7. Illustrative figures and forward-looking statements

Claims about processing-cost reduction, settlement speed, transaction pricing, interchange, reach, and activation economics that appear in SYNC source material are illustrative. They should be carried into investor or client materials only after benchmarking against signed provider pricing and measured pilot data.

Statements about roadmap, planned capability, prospective partners, expected performance, or anticipated regulatory treatment are forward-looking. They involve risk and uncertainty, are not guarantees, and actual outcomes may differ materially. SYNC undertakes no obligation to update them.

Where this site presents measurement concepts, it publishes the definition of each metric rather than a performance number, so that any figure later reported can be read against a stated denominator.

8. SYNC Signal detection and consent

  • Signal detection requires affirmative opt-in before any detection or microphone-related processing begins.
  • The technology detects designated SYNC Signals. It is not designed to record conversations or identify spoken words.
  • Permission can be withdrawn at any time.
  • Detection quality, false-positive rate, deduplicated reach, and consent integrity are validated in a controlled pilot before any production reliance.
  • Verified exposure describes a consented, timestamped detection. It is not a claim that any individual saw, heard, understood, or acted on the content.

9. Regulatory perimeter

Wallet functionality, money movement, conversion, tokens, rewards, yield, lending, and custody can each trigger different legal regimes in different jurisdictions. No technical design is automatically compliant. Launch in any market depends on jurisdiction-specific legal analysis, licensing where required, platform-policy review, and compliance approval.

Availability of any SYNC feature varies by jurisdiction and by user eligibility, and features described here may not be offered where you are.

10. Third-party marks

Product names, logos, and brands referenced on this site are the property of their respective owners. Their use is for identification only and does not imply affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement.
